Native and ZenTwO are two Artists now based in Paris.
They lived in too many places to be branded.
Their destiny carried them across the world, in Metropoles
such as Lagos, New York, Cairo, Amman, Frankfurt, etc.

They work together for some years now and are developing
a particular common style.

This book is a presentation of the results of their
drawing sessions, entirely influenced by a mixture of all the
cultural components gathered across all the years of living and
growing in different corners of the world.
The result is a statement of Modern Cultural Piracy.

THE SESSIONS by NATIVE & ZENTWO

Drago is the Port that unleashes their Vessel in the recent
trend of “The Clash of Civilization”.

The aim is to break the distance between these cultures
and bring them within arms reach, to confront their differences
and discover the similarities.

This "breaking of distance" is rooted in the process of creating
the book, as they brought together their distinct individual
drawing styles, visions, and ideas using Arabic Calligraphy
as a bridge for a visual interaction.

Their research is sometimes aesthetic;
other times expressive radical statements,
raw emotions or subversive cultural commentary.

About DRAGO and the 36 CHAMBERS BOOK SERIES :
The title of the book series is inspired by the 1978 movie,
Enter the 36 Chambers of Shaolin, a martial arts classic.
The story is about the chief abbot of Shaolin, a monastery with
36 chambers. He The abbot must keep the new rambunctious
monks in line through strict martial-arts discipline which takes
place in the chambers. This is a story about strength that inspired
the homonym debut LP by the Wu-Tang Clan, a milestone of
hardcore rap in the 1990s.
The same philosophy, 36 books in three years, is the key to
the project that DRAGO has undertaken working with the main
characters of the international independent scene.
36 CHAMBERS by DRAGO
Each volume represents a room where artists will express their core work. DRAGO has imposed limitations
on the artists, as they can only use black, white and one colour of their choice, this limited palette has been
chosen to free their creativity. The result is a mix of pure impressions, going back to their artistic roots
combined with the contemporary taste for work that mixes tradition and experimentation. The first books are
signed by thoroughbreds from the underground stable: Papik Rossi, Whystyle, King Kong, Marte, Ivory Serra,
CT’ink, Pax Paloscia, Native & ZenTwo, Fupete & Jack La Motta, TV Boy and Mike Giant.

36 Chambers is part of “S.I.C. – Systema of Independent Culture” an concept and term coined by DRAGO.
“S.I.C.” aims at documenting the state of the art of the second Pop Revolution in the first age of globalization.
The unifying thread is the letter S, a logo that sums different concepts of the DRAGO brand: system, street,
samurai, speed, style, skate, sex, $. S is also a symbol representing the dynamic energy of the spiral,
the eternal comeback, the Egyptian ouroboros, the fusion of yin and yang. Participating in “S.I.C.” are
the most interesting cultural jockeys – CJs, united in a manifesto of autonomy and inner transparency.
The vade-mecum of the global mind-set, to weave a net of relationships based on empathy and a common
attitude: of overstatement through understatement, where under is over and over is under.
